Is a small village on the edge of Dartmoor 10 miles west of Exeter.


The burial ground is situated between Exeter and Okehampton. Take the Cheriton Bishop turning off the A30 and follow the road into Cheriton Bishop village. Take the 2nd road on the right which is marked to Yeoford. Follow the road past the village hall, straight over four crossways crossroad, down the hill. Go over the A30 on the wide bridge and start to climb back up the hill. The burial ground is just before you reach the brow of the hill on the left.




You enter through the gate to the car park this has been planted with semi cultivated plants to give year round colour and a wicker living fence hedge which will form a living outdoor room. The curving track meanders through the woodland. On the left hand side is the area set aside for the scattering of ashes and is covered with wild flower seeds which include poppies, hawks bit, burdock, thistle, celandines & primroses. Some trees have been planted to give an idea of the intended structure of the woodland. Along the left hand side and the furthest perimeter is a new earth bank which is planted with hedgerow shrubs and flowers -hazel, blackthorn, oak, holly, elder, honeysuckle, wild rose, columbine, foxgloves and primroses. The road copse and right hand side are established with large trees and undergrowth of gorse and sloe.
